Applying to CSJ 2026
Making your application as strong as possible.
Service Description
The Canada Summer Jobs wage subsidy provides wage subsidies to support employers from not-for-profit organizations and the public sector, as well as private sector organizations with 50 or fewer full-time employees, to create quality summer work experiences for youth aged 15 to 30 years. Employers may also be eligible for overhead costs incurred by the employer for accommodation measures to remove barriers for youth with a disability. This highly popular program receives thousands of applications each year, and depending on the geographic location of the project activities, applications can face a very high level of competition for funding. As such, having the strongest application possible, and understanding how the program is structured is essential for employees to be as successful as possible. “Applying to CSJ 2026” is led by Kelly Thompson, who previously worked in the CSJ program as a program officer, and who also received certification as a certified grants and contributions practitioner within the Government of Canada. Kelly will go through how the program is structured, best practices and recommendations on how to write your application for the best chances possible, along with what to expect between applying, and being informed of your funding. You will have an opportunity to submit questions at the time of registration for the class – please note that questions may be answered, but it is not guaranteed due to various factors. For guaranteed advice on specific questions, or for a private and more specialized meeting, please select the “CSJ Consultation” option.
